Research On Spatial Narrative Strategy Of Novel Adaptation Into Drama

After the "spatial shift",the research on "space" has been carried out in various fields of academia.The narrative circle also began to explore the narrative problem from the dimension of "space",that is,the research of spatial narrative.Novel and drama are two typical narrative arts,and the adaptation of novel into drama has become a normal state in the literary and art circles.This paper first considers the specific thoughts from the perspective of spatial theory,and then analyzes and investigates the narrative in the dimension of spatial field,so as to form the theoretical thinking mode of adapting novels with spatial characteristics into drama.Secondly,taking Chinese modern and contemporary novels and drama texts as the analysis object,taking script-writing techniques as the starting point,and using the research method of interdisciplinary integration,this paper studies how to effectively encode and reorganize the space by adding,deleting,restoring,abstracting,and metaphor in the process of adapting the novel into drama.Finally,with the spatial narrative theory as the core,it aims to explore the skills of adapting novels into drama,construct a set of spatial strategies for adapting novels into drama,and provide some theoretical and methodological basis for relevant academic researchers and scriptwriters.
