Jason Reitman is a well known young director in Hollywood,he won multiple Oscar nominations in his 30 s for <Juno> and <Up in the air> famous in the United States and even in the world.Throughtout Reitman’s films,the plot is relatively complex but the style is simple,the theme is profound but the attitude is inclusive,the characters are close to daily life but the character does not lose contradictions.That’s why he’s been described by Roger Ebert as “a little Reitman who not following the rules.”In this paper,seven films directed by the Jason Reiman are taken as the research object,supported by narratology theory and feminism theory,to analyze and explain the film art of the Jason Reitman from various angles.The introduction section mainly summarizes the general situation of Jason Reitman’s creation,and the main research contents and methods of the paper.The first chapter of the main body of the film,combined with the director of the Jason Reitman to comb,and then demonstrate the theme of the Jason Reitman film meaning.The second chapter,on the basis of the clearifying the theme and meaning,combs and analyzes the characterization from the perspective of gender,and then summarizes the characterization of the Jason Reitman’s films.The third chapter,through the Jason Reitman film unique image style,explains its unique audio-visual aesthetic thought.The fourth chapter,based on the above three chapters,explores the value of Jason Reitman’s works.By studying and interpreting the works of Jason Reitman directors,on the basis of previous studies,I try to dig out the parts that have not been enriched and improved,so as to fill the gap in this field of film studies.At the same time,I hope that the creative thinking of the director of the Jason Reitman can bring some creative inspiration to the directors in the film industry.
