Relationship Among Song,Goryeo And Mongol In The Middle Of The 13th Century(1234-1259)

Ningbo(??)in Zhejiang Province(???)was called Mingzhou(??)in Song(?)Dynasty and Qingyuan(??)in Yuan(?)Dynasty.Mingzhou Port was the most important port in the trade between Goryeo and Song.Additionally,Mingzhou was an important window to get external information.Southern-Song(??)could acquire information such as political situations of Goryeo,Mongl and Jin(?)Dynasty through merchants from Goryeo and Song's merchants who visited Goryeo.Therefore,the local documents of Mingzhou record not a few articles related to Goryeo.For example,Qiandao Slming Xuzhi(??????),Baoqing Siming Xuzhi(??????)and Kaiqing Siming Xuzhi(??????)published in Song Dynasty respectively record 6,4 and 3 articles related to Goryeo.Among them "Take In Goryeo's People(????)”and "Repatriate Song's People from Goryeo(???????)"in Kaiqing Siming Xuzhi edited by Mei Yingfa(???)and Liu Xi(??)in Southern-Song dealt with repatriation issue occurred between Goryeo and Southern-Song.It is worthwhile to read,as it shows situations' of three countries at that time such as Southern-Song,Mongol and Goryeo.The first article "Take In Goryeo's People" records the incident that six Goryeo people arrived at Mingzhou Mount Shitong(???)in 1258 after drifting.They met storm and were drifted on the way back to Kanghwa Island(???)after visiting neighboring island to buy woods.What we should note here is that Wu Qian(??)who was Governor of Mingzhou(??????)at that time asked political and economic situations of Goryeo,relationship with Mongol and military situation in coastal area of Goryeo as well as basic things such as personal information.The other article "Repatriate Song's People from Goryeo" recorded that Goryeo returned three Song's people in April,1259 through Song's merchant Fan Yanhua(???).The three Song's people returned to Southern-Song were Sengfu(??),Ma'er(??)and Zhijiu(??).Officers in Mingzhou investigated their original records,age,and reasons why they became captives.Besides,this article recorded circumstances after Sengfu(??)and Ma'er(??)entered Goyeo,how they were treated and returned to Southern-Song in details.Thus it is valuable material for scholars studying Marine Affairs and History of Communication."Goryeo Yebin-province(???)to Southern-Song Dispatch(??????????)”which is attached to the article at the end is very important material for the scholars studying foreign affairs documents at that time,as the contents remain nearly perfectly although it is a secondary historical records.Although many scholars in Korea and China have already studied this article,there are still some parts to be historically investigated.Accordingly,this article tries to historically investigate "Take In Goryeo's People" and "Repatriate Song's People from Goryeo".In "Take In Goryeo's People",historical evidences were studied where Hong Pokliang(???)was stationed,what the situations were like in Goryeo at that time and where Kasa cave(???)was,which was one of three caves recorded in the article.Additionally,in "Repatriate Song's People from Goryeo" also were studied where Sengfu(??)and Ma'er(??)were stationed after coming in Goryeo and where was the island that they were held.Besides,this article attended to the situational description among three forces such as Song,Mongol and Goryeo,and it attended to the relationship among Song-Goryeo-Mongol in the middle of the 13th century(1234-1159).Studies in Relations History found that Song Dynasty,Northern Races and Goryeo built an equal "Multi-dimensional Relationship" among three parties between 10th and 13th century.However in the early 13th century Genghis Kahn(????)established Mongol by uniting tribes and such "Multi-dimensional Relationship"in the East Asia was destroyed because of the superiority of military power of nomadic tribe.However,the writer has a different opinion and proposes that political situations in the middle of the 13th century in the East can be understood through the relationship among Song,Mongol and Goryeo.Therefore,this article reviewed the relationship among three countries Song,Goryeo and Mongol from 1234 to 1259.
