A Research On The Demand For The Home Care Service Of The Rural Empty Nester

Since the reform and opening up and the implementation of the one-child policy,A large number of rural labor migration began,Chinese urban and rural empty nesters and empty nest families also showed a rapid growth trend.Therefore,empty nesters phenomenon is inevitable and long-standing social phenomenon.During Chinese social transformation and population aging process,the social security system is not yet perfect,empty nest family will inevitably be faced with a series of social problems.In the vast rural areas,empty nesters is facing the pension problem that is more serious than the urban empty nesters.First,the family size gradually tend to core and miniaturization,children are not in the parents side,the elderly lack of care,the traditional family pension function is weakening.Second,the socialization of institutional pension due to higher costs,lack of family warmth,social isolation,lack of infrastructure investment and other reasons which can not get the favor of the elderly.At the same time,the traditional concept of the elderly in rural areas,but also make it for the institutions of old age with a certain psychological exclusion.Third,due to unbalanced development of the long-standing urban-rural dual system,there is a huge gap between the urban and rural social security system,In later years of life,the rural empty nest will face more serious risks.This research will start from the actual needs of the rural empty nesters,taking Jiangning District as an example,follow the idea of combining qualitative and quantitative,and discuss the demand for the home care service of the rural empty nests.On the basis of the questionnaire survey,carry out the basic analysis of the demand of the rural empty nesters on the home care service.Then fourteen factors were extracted from three dimensions of individual,family and society,we use binary logistic regression model to validate the influencing factors of the demand for home care service.The research finds that,first,in the home care service needs,the overall demand of rural empty nesters degree is not high.In the specific service projects,the most urgent need is health care services.Interaction analysis showed that gender,age,self-care,marital status,living status and the situation of pension insurance and health insurancewill influence the choice of homecareservicefor rural empty nesters.Further regression model to analyze the influencing factors of the use of binary logistic,find that gender,age,self-care,marital status,living status and the situation of pension insurance,these six factors have a significant impact on rural home care services demand for rural empty nesters.Second.in the implementation of supply,in Jiangning District,still exist many difficulties that will seriously restrict the rural empty nesters choose the home care services,such as insufficient supply,service quality is not high,the lack of standardized,limited development.Finally,propose some relevant polices and recommendations according toanalysi s.Firstly,on the basis of the developmentofthe rural collectiveeconomy,encourage and develop non-governmental organizations and forces to expand financing channels;Secondly,improve the social cognition at the same time,strengthen the demand oriented,make full use of social resources to construct multilevel rural home care service system,so as to meet the special needs of the rural empty nesters.
