Based on China Household Income survey data in 2007,13 income variables are selected as the independent variables, and the monthly average income(excluding part-time)is used as the dependent variable to construct the Mincer wage equation. Then the Oaxaca-Blinder decomposition method is used to decompose the income difference. In particular, this thesis is composed of two parts.First,I find out whether there are significant differences in income between the local residents and the immigrants in various regions and the reasons for the differences.Second,I also find out whether there are significant differences in income between the immigrants in different regions and the reasons for the differences. The latter is the focus of this research. Finally, based on the conclusions above,I give some advice for immigrants who intend to find jobs.Compared with the previous literature, this paper mainly makes the following improvements.First,in the past, only the income difference between immigrants and local residents was considered. However, this paper believes that the analysis of the income difference between immigrants in different regions is also important. It can help provide some advice for immigrants with different characteristics to choose their working places.Second, previous studies studied isolated cities alone, and this thesis considers several cities with close geographical location and close economic relations as a region. In this paper, two coastal areas and two inland areas are selected.Third,on the selection of sample data, this paper uses the two sub-samples of China Household Income survey data in 2007.The two sub-samples are completed by two investigative teams, and the investigation areas are not completely overlapped. In this paper, the data of 9 public provinces and cities are selected to form four regions, which could reduce the possible bias due to the difference in the sampling design.
