Research On Elite Recruitment And Train Of New Tide Faction Of DPP

The key point of politics is to win people.In the electoral politics,there are two types of people:those who elect and those who run for election.The sole purpose of a political party or even a faction is to acquire,maintain,and extend political power.In Taiwan's competitive electoral politics,a pure comparison can not really help us distinguish the differences between political parties.Nobody is really fully satisfied with DPP whether it is in field or taking office even now so-called "full-scale ruling administration".However,it has been able to win victories again.This is undoubtedly owing to the fact that DPP is good at employing people and managing public opinions.The success of New Tide Faction(NTF)is very obvious,which holding DPP's ideology and policy agenda,yet has been in a low-key mystery,leaving our DPP research a great of difficulties.However,in the competitive electoral politics,the simple low-key mystery can not bring votes.The powerful strength of NTF has won an unprecedented show in the 2016 election,which provides the necessity and possibility for our research.The solid strength brought by the system of talent recruitment and cultivation of NTF has became the key to DPP's return to power.In the cross-strait academic research,the research on NTF mainly focuses on its ideology and mode of operation,thus studies on its elite recruitment and train are rare.Therefore,based on the theory of western political elites,this paper attempts to explore the elite recruitment and trains of NTF,analyzing its changes,standards and characteristics with historical literature,data analysis,in-depth interviews,and comparative research.To supplement the standards and characteristics,thus providing a new perspective for the political research of the current DPP factions.Since the founding of NTF,the elite recruitment and train of NTF has changed with the adjustment of its political routes.It has gradually transformed from"inbreeding" of "The New Tide" magazine to the experience of the youth camps and public service assistants,supplemented by the think tank,and tends to be systematic.At each stage of elite recruitment and train,we analyse the members of NTF,mainly the "Mesozoic" and "New Generation".From their different experiences,it can help us understand the standards and training process of recruitment of NTF.NTF has an important political influence in Taiwan,and it is faced with the dilemma of development at present,we need to calculate its future transformation strategy.In order to do this,this paper has made a further comparison among NTF,Communist Party of China,Kuomintang,"New Power Party" and other DPP factions,and got a clearer horizon of NTF.
