With the rapid development of Internet technology,China has fully entered the era of network information, and a large number of network virtual assets have appeared in our lives.Network virtual property condenses the efforts of each network user. They have devoted time, energy, and money to it.It not only contains economic value, but also contains spiritual values to a certain extent. With the increase in cases of virtual property disputes in judicial practice in recent years,we have to think about a practical issue, namely whether virtual property can be inherited after the death of a user.Although Article 127 of the "General Principles of Civil Law" has incorporated cyber virtual property into the scope of legal protection, there is no relevant provision on the inheritance of online virtual property in the "Inheritance Law" which is an important basis for solving inheritance problems. The lag in the law can hardly satisfy people’s expectations, the need for virtual property inheritance. The purpose of this paper is to study the related issues of network virtual property inheritance in our country.Starting from the definition of network virtual property,we first analyze its legal nature and inheritability, and then further study the main problems existing in our country’s network virtual property inheritance. After the mature experience of inheritance,we put forward targeted solutions to clear the obstacles for the construction of our country’s network virtual property inheritance system. Finally,we discussed the specifics of the subject, object, method, value evaluation, segmentation, and procedures of network virtual property inheritance. How to build a network virtual properly inheritance system that is consistent with the country’s national conditions.
