Children are the masters of the world in the future, and the importance of protecting children's rights is beyond doubt. However, the armed conflicts in many parts of the world are still ongoing nowadays, and the persistence and multiplication of conflicts have left many children in serious danger.Children's rights can not be fundamentally respected and protected during armed conflicts.Just as Orlando Bloom who is the goodwill ambassador of United Nations Children's Fund once said: "One out of every nine children lives in countries affected by armed conflict, they have witnessed brutal violence, and their rights to suvival, health and education have been trampled.Their experience was shocking." Although the United Nations and the international community have always attached importance to the protection of children's rights in armed conflicts, actually the violation of children's rights in armed conflicts has not been effectively curbed and the task of protecting children's rights remains arduous. The main body of this article is divided into four parts.Part I is about the impact of armed conflicts on the protection of children's rights. This section first introduces the main contents of children's rights, and then analyzes the impact of armed conflicts on children's rights to suvival and development by enumerating some cases of violations of children's rights.Part II is the framework of international law for the protection of children's rights in armed conflicts, including international conventions on human rights, international humanitarian law and the international institutions, which play a great role in protecting children's rights during armed conflicts.Part III mainly analyzes the main dilemmas faced by the current protection of children's rights in armed conflicts, first is the defects of the international convention on the protection of children's rights.Although there are provisions in all fields of international law for the protection of children's rights in armed conflicts, there are still some deficiencies that need to be improved. The second dilemma is that all parties to armed conflicts refuse to abide by the basic humanitarian principles, and the main reason that many children have been hit by armed conflicts is that parties to the armed conflict can't abide by the principle of distinctionand proportionality.Lastly, humanitarian relief actions face lots of challenge during armed conflicts, providing timely humanitarian aid is the most direct protection for children during armed conflicts. However,in practice, parties to the conflict often reject or obstruct humanitarian aid and humanitarian assistance can not always adhere to the principles of fairness, independence and neutrality, which brought great challenges to children's rescue work.Part IV is about the concrete proposal for improving the protection of children's rights during armed conflicts, including perfecting the provisions of international law, strengthening the sanctions to end violations against children and reinforcing the function of international institution for the protection of children's rights.
