The article takes the Lahu minority culture of Yunnan as the research object,using the theory and method of empathic design to extract the typical core culture of Lahu ethnic culture and applying it to the Lahu cultural creative product design practice.From the perspective of empathy,the research and practice of cultural creative design aims to enrich the user experience level of products and provide a direction for the protection,inheritance and development of minority culture.In terms of method research,first of all,the literature research method is used to comb the related literature of Lahu culture and empathic design theory.Then,the three steps of the field investigation include overall learning,participation in observation,the deep-going to the theme and the four stages of empathic design include discovery,immersion,connection,detachment are combined to obtain the cultural characteristics,in which the matching method of empathy includes cultural probe,video,focus group,integration experience and empathy observation.Finally,the scenario experience map of empathic design method are used to obtain the user's behavior and attitude in cultural experience.In terms of theoretical research,the article constructs the framework and process of empathy design for cultural creative products.By empathizing with Lahu's culture,the designer accurately obtains cultural characteristics(including material,behavioral,spiritual cultural characteristics)and empathizing with users to abtain the depth and range of user's culture cognitive.The designer transfers cultural characteristics into design features,and conveys cultural characteristics through product design(visual forms,functional forms,and forms)effectively.In terms of practice research,field investigation and design practice are included.In the field research,the designer empathizes from the perspective of cultural subjects,cultural inheritors,cultural managers and cultural visitors to obtain the cultural characteristics,cultural cognitive,and cultural attitudes.The article expounded the cultural experience composition from the horizontal and vertical experience of culture that is,the comprehensive experience both in the vertical cultural experience of using product(visual form-functional form-ideological connotation)and horizontal cultural experience of multiple products using(before visiting-visiting-after visiting).According to cultural experience relationship the objective condition analysis,cultural characteristics extraction and cultural characteristics expression are completed to make the creative products is feasibility and meet the needs of the users from three aspects: visual form,functional form and connotation spirit.The article constructs the empathic design system of cultural creative product,analyzes the emotional experience level of the product,and carries out the design of Lahu's cultural creative product.It thinks that the construction of the cultural experience should not be limited to the product,but also consider the process of using product and the pre-and-post stages of using product,to match the cognition and behavior of user and form the completely experience of the culture.The whole culture experience can enhance emotional resonance between cultural creative products and users,and integrate culture into daily life.
