As the economy continues to grow,our society has entered a period of rapid development,but,as dickens put it,"this is the best of times and the worst of times".This is a sentence that dickens used to describe the world after the industrial revolution.Today,we also live a contradiction of the society.People are enjoying the great convenience brought by social development while also bearing the risks brought by the society.The risks of today's society are intensified,and the potential dangers can greatly affect people's physical and mental health and safety.In recent years,problems about security have been happening frequently,such as: "drag racing" in Hangzhou,racketeer cases,Sanlu milk powder incident and drunk driving,etc.The occurrence of such cases remind us that we should pay more attention to the insecurity of modern risk society all the time.However,the law of our country cannot cover all crimes that endanger social security.In order to severely punish criminals to prevent the occurrence of such cases,the judicial organs in daily practice will convict such crimes which cannot be clearly defined by the criminal law in accordance with the dangerous method of endangering public security.This has led to a widening interpretation of the dangerous method of endangering public security,which has gradually become a “pocket crime”.Based on the principle of legal punishment and the principle of culpability of culpability,this paper probes into the crimes of endangering public security by dangerous methods,and defines its connotation and extension through the research of specific cases,And a series of improvement measures have been put forward accordingly.It is hoped that it can provide a theoretical basis for judicial practice and prevent the abuse of dangerous methods in practice to endanger public safety...
