Research On The Evolution Of Socialist Religious Theory With Chinese Characteristics Since The Reform And Opening Up

China is a multi-ethnic and multi-religious country.Religious issues are closely related to national issues and international issues,which presents a special complexity.Therefore,how to treat and deal with religious issues has always been an important issue for Chinese Communists.Since the reform and opening up,the Chinese Communists have applied the Marxist concept of religion to the practice of religious work in China,recognized and solved the practical problems of Chinese religious work,and conducted the process of exploring the path to solving Chinese religious issues in accordance with China’s national conditions and religion.With the creation and the promotion of theory,the socialist religious theory with Chinese characteristics was finally formed,and the practice of religious work was successfully guided.This thesis systematically summarizes and sorts out the religious theory of socialism with Chinese characteristics since the reform and opening up,reveals its evolutionary process and its contents,which is of great significance for deepening the study of the socialist religious theory with Chinese characteristics and promoting the healthy development of religious work.There are six parts in this thesis.The first part mainly introduces the background,significance,research status,main contents and methods of the topic.The second part defines four related concepts of socialist religious theory with Chinese characteristics,expounds the religious views of Marx and Engels,Lenin and Stalin,and the first generation of leaders of the Communist Party of China,and outlines the 30 years before the reform and opening up to the Chinese Communist Party.The exploration of the issue reveals the theoretical and practical basis for the formulation,formation,and development of socialist religious theory with Chinese characteristics.In the third part,it discusses the Chinese Communist Party’s efforts to set things right in the religious field from five aspects in the early days of reform and opening up.In addition,the party actively explored religious laws based on new situations and changes in the religious field.In this process,the socialist religious theory with Chinese characteristics began to take shape.The fourth part discusses the religious work of the Communist Party of China from four aspects from 1992 to 2011.The party’s religious theory has achieved outstanding results during this period,which is shown as follows: proposing three features of religion’s theories,exerting the active role of religion in economic and social construction,and summing up systematically the origin of religion during the socialist period.On this basis,it clearly promotes religion to adapt to Socialist Society using a guided way,puts forward and implements the policy of managing religious affairs according to laws.Meanwhile,it adheresto the principle of independence and self-administration,resists religious infiltration bells and initially forms a basic guideline for religious work.The proposal of all these new theories marks the basic formation of socialist religious theory with Chinese characteristics.The fifth part discusses the religious work of the Communist Party of China from three aspects since the 18 th National Congress.In the process of exploration,the Central Committee of Communist Party with Xi Jinping as the core has creatively proposed the religious civilization and the “majority” characteristic of religion,and dealt with dialectically the social role of religion.Based on this,it puts forward management of religious affairs in accordance with the law and constructs positive and friendly religious relationships.Meanwhile,it takes China as the focal point,actively guides religion to adapt to socialist society and implements the basic guideline for religious work in the form of guidance.The proposal of these new ideas marks the overall development of the socialist religious theory with Chinese characteristics.
