With the development of Internet technology and self-media paradox,at the same time,China's judicial reform has been further deepened.Since the media participation in judicial cases has begun to rise,the public opinion of judicial cases has undergone new changes,especially for criminal cases.Making judicial justice face new challenges.Through media reports on criminal trial activities,the media helped the public to realize the right of public opinion supervision and promoted the openness and transparency of criminal trial activities.However,improper reports and comments from the media also undermined the independence of the trial and the authority of the judiciary.Therefore,it is especially necessary to explore the relationship between media supervision and criminal trials and promote the sound development of media supervision and criminal trial relations.Judicature is the last line of defense for social justice,but in practice,media reports often interfere with judicial decisions.Taking the case of Yu Huan,one of the top ten criminal cases announced by the People's Court in 2017,as an example,from the first trial to the second trial,we are thinking about whether the impact of new media public opinion on criminal trials is benign or malignant? How big is the power of influence? The article intends to use the "Yuhuan case" as a perspective to sort out the main body of the "Yuhuan case" on the media platform,and to compare and quantify the results,so as to find out the impact of media paradox on criminal trials.Degree and conduct legal analysis.Finally,it analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of the influence of media public opinion on criminal trials,so that we can reflect on the current situation of China and build up our own relevant knowledge based on the absorption and reference of relevant foreign legal systems and the actual situation in China system.The main contents of this paper are as follows: Firstly,the explanations of the concepts related to media public opinion are introduced,including the concept and characteristics of self-media,and the difference between self-media and traditional media.Secondly,from the perspective of “Yu Huan Case”,the main body of the media public opinion platform is divided to quantitatively analyze the influence of public opinion voice on the outcome of criminal trials.Again,it is the analysis of the impact of media public opinion on criminal trial justice,which is divided into positive influence,negative influence and root cause analysis of negative influence.Finally,reflections on the impact of media public opinion on criminal trials.
