The interpretation of "Biopolitics" constitutes one of the most dynamic areas of Foucault Research.Since this topic was proposed by Foucault in the 1980s,its development and evolution have profoundly changed the framework of traditional political philosophy. However, the numerous paths of interpretation and mutual resistance have made this concrete image of this "change" become confusing. This article focuses on Agamben's interpretation of Foucault, through the concentrated analysis of this article What is Apparatus?,we will find the key to bridging Foucault and Agamben's two Biopolitics.Based on the results of textual analysis, this study finds that the use of the concept of" Apparatus" determines Foucault's understanding of "power",and the power in the sense of the device contrasts with the concept of power explored in classical political theory.Complementing each other and rebelling against each other, this is closely related to Foucault's criticism of Hobbes. In this sense,Foucault's understanding of "Apparatus/power" abandons its generalizational meaning from the beginning, although this does not hinder him from logically carrying out the exploration of genealogy of power in general. After the micro-power analysis was pushed to the extreme in the book Security,Territory and Population,Foucault did encounter bottlenecks that rejected the "spiritual construction".The analysis of the many texts of Agamben helps us to clarify that not only does he indeed correct, complete and transcend Foucault's propositions at the level of Political Theology,as he claims, and this new vision is fused Carl Schmitt's theology-legal context and Foucault's micro-power analysis context. This fusion is based on Agamben's thoughts on the hidden connection between language and the polis paradigm. In his analysis of language, the complex tension of the concept of life is intertwined by bios and zoe, throughout the Western political tradition. In the polis-agreement paradigm, the inclusion and exclusion of the community and life constitutes the basic operation of the sovereign structure. The sacredness of sovereignty is precisely reflected in its position, that is,between the city of god and the city of human being.Such a political form is actually derived from the grafting of the political paradigm of Christianity to the paradigm of the polis state and the paradigm of the theocracy.
