Research On The Official Adultery Crime In Qing Dynasty

China ancient law established rigorous crime and punishment system for official adultery.On the one hand,the law of official adultery in the Qing dynasty absorbed and summarized the experience of establishing official adultery law before the Qing dynasty,on the other hands,it also developed and changed the official adultery law of early stage.This paper investigates the official adultery punishments and judicial practice of ancient law,and discussed the significance and enlightenment of official adultery law in the Qing dynasty to contemporary legal system construction under the present condition of strong anti-corruption.This paper consists of four parts.First,the origin of official adultery and carding the law for official adultery and punishments before the Middle Qing.Second,description of the official adultery law in the Qing dynasty,analysis the official adultery cases in “Xing An Hui Lan”,and summary of the feature of official adultery judicial practice.Third,analysis of official adultery law normalization in the Qing dynasty and summary of perspectives of“Ethnics” and “School of law”.The last part,discussion about the significance and enlightenment of official adultery law in the Qing dynasty to contemporary legal system construction.
