Analysis Of Hobbes's Natural Law Thought

Thomas Hobbes was a famous materialist philosopher in 17 th century England,He expounded the unique and profound theory of natural rights with his brilliant wisdom,some of which are still shining today.Therefore,Hobbes' natural law thoughts are different from the traditional way of thinking and spirit.This paper will take Hobbes' s natural law thought as the object of study,with its theoretical premise and content as the focus,through the evolution of the theory logic of Hobbes' s natural law thought to reveal the theoretical role and status of Hobbes' s natural law thought in his political philosophy.The observance of natural law in ancient Greece and Rome reflects the "natural" nature of human rights.The ideas of stoics and Roman jurists gradually expanded the discussion of human equality.In the middle ages,the extension of the thought of natural rights in the scope of theocracy promoted Hobbes' s theory of natural rights.The theory of natural rights in early modern times,especially the thought of the natural rights of grotius,had a direct influence on Hobbes' s theory of natural rights.The main content of this paper consists of four parts: the emergence of Hobbes' natural law thought,the theoretical premise of Hobbes' natural law thought,the theoretical development of Hobbes' natural law thought and the influence of Hobbes' natural law thought.Firstly,this paper tries to understand the purpose of Hobbes' natural law thought by analyzing the social background in which he lived,and discusses the emergence and development of his thought by analyzing the inevitability and possibility of his thought.Secondly,this paper tries to study some of the foreshadowing of Hobbes' theoretical thoughts,such as his discourse on a series of issues such as human nature,the state of nature and the equality of talents,so as to find the premise of his theoretical thoughts.On this basis,this paper compares it with the traditional natural law thought in the past and concludes the uniqueness of the theoretical premise of Hobbes' natural law thought.Again,this article will study contracts in natural law thoughts,representative of a single subject,political community,natural law,natural rights,rules and law,and other important content,to further analyze of Hobbes' s natural law thoughts,and through its internal logical relationship between the elements of Hobbes system to make all aspects of the study of natural law thoughts.Finally,this article looks at the value and function of Hobbes' natural law thought from the macroscopic view.Through the above process after the comprehensive study on the Hobbes' s natural law,in this paper,the natural law thought Hobbes' s influence on the modern natural law thought and modern Locke,Rousseau,spinoza,philosophers in different conditions such as criticism of Hobbes' s natural law thoughts,but in my opinion,these are all critical are built on the basis of the ideas being used,it is a critique of inheritance,while the later,to the development of the theory have made certain but none from Hobbes' s theory frame,which is one of the authors research the significance of natural law thought Hobbes.
