The cold war,which lasted for half a century,ended with the disintegration of the Soviet Union.After the disintegration of the Soviet Union?former republics became independent and Central Asia was no exception,forming five independent states:Kazakhstan,Uzbekistan,Tajikistan,Turkmenistan and Kyrgyzstan.Although these emerging countries have established a seemingly free and equal capitalist political system,in essence,it is the Soviet--era elite in the region that still holds power in the countries of Central Asia.The political system of"family shadow"has been formed in Central Asia;Economically,these Central Asian countries were influenced by the former Soviet Union,the raw material-oriented economic development and the incomplete industrial system,which made the economic development of the region slow;Militarily,the Central Asian countries are weak,relying mainly on the export or financing of arms from the United States and Russia,and most of the military forces are used to suppress the domestic opposition and extremist religious forces.In general,the Central Asian region has not yet become an independent geopolitical plate in the world,and there is a lack of powerful countries in the region.For Other major powers of the world have created conditions for entry into the region.Central Asia is of great significance to both the United States and Russia.Geographically,Central Asia is Russia's traditional sphere of influence,which is related to the territorial security of southerm Russia,and Central Asia is also an important strategic buffer space for Russia.The United States regards Central Asia as an important region to curb the rise of China and Russia,and adjacent to South Asia,which is an important springboard for the United States to enter Asia and Europe from the Indian Ocean,and has profound geopolitical significance.Economically,Central Asia has a lot of oil and gas,metal resources.The United States and Russia use the region as ther own energy source.Safety development the key to energy development:in Central Asia can effectively broaden the energy resources of the two countries.Import channels to strengthen energy reserves between the two countries.Moreover,the potential free market in Central Asia is also attractive to the United States and Russia.In dealing with the non-traditional security,the control of the Central Asian region can effectively restrain the"three forces" of South Asia from entering the Central Asian region and entering the territory of Russia,which has important security interests for Russia.For the United States,the Central Asian region is its bridgehead against extremist forces in South Asia,which plays a key role in the United States' response to non-traditional security threats.In summary,the United States and Russia have a wide range of interests in Central Asia,but the resources and interests of Central Asia are limited.Both the United States and Russia want to occupy the dominant position in the region and obtain tihe greatest national interests,which leads to the big-power game between the United States and Russia in all fields of Central Asia.As a result of the differences between the United States and Russia,the Central Asian countries give full play to their subjective initiative,the world.Other and factors such as the involvement of the central Asian countries in the affairs of the region have made it difficult for the United States and Russia to take complete unilateral control of the region.Under the rational analysis,the United States and Russia will choose to carry on the strategic competition and cooperation under the multi-game mode in the region.This paper introduces the geopolitical and political changes in Central Asia and discusses in detail the interests of the United States and Russia in Central Asia and the strategies adopted to safeguard them.The wedge model is used to illustrate the present situation of the game between the United States and Russiain Central Asia.The cooperative game,persuasive game,coordinated game and guaranteed game are used.Four species the game model is used to analyze the situation of the strategic competition between the United States and Russia in Central Asia.This paper attempts to analyze the choice of absolute and relative returns between the United States and Russia in different fields,and finally based on rational models and empirical materials.To make a rational judgment on the possible development direction of the game between the United States and Russia in Central Asia.
