Criticism Of Historical Nihilism In The Study Of New Democratic Revolution

Xi Jinping has stressed that history is the best textbook and that the history of a nation is fundamental to the country.While,in recent years,historical nihilism is rampant,through various new media means to seize the ideological position,spreading the wrong view of history.If we do not resist,the consequences will be unthinkable.The period of the new democratic revolution is an important stage in the history of our country,the Party and the military,a key to the correct understanding of the modern history of China,and a necessary prerequisite for the existence and development of new China,as well as the reform and opening up and even the new era of China today.The historical nihilism negates the new democratic revolution,which shows its purpose.Although historical nihilism originated in the West,it was formed and developed in China.Through combing the historical nihilism and analyzing its formation mechanism,five representative viewpoints in China are summarized,one of which is the theory of farewell revolution.Historical nihilism propagates the wrong views on the new democratic revolution,mainly focusing on: the wrong understanding of the modern national conditions,the wrong understanding of the road and stage of the modern Chinese revolution,wrong understanding of the basic principles of the New Democratic Revolution and of the Party's leadership.Through the erroneous analysis of Marxist theory,we know that historical nihilism is a wrong view of history,so we should correctly evaluate the new democratic revolution with historical materialism.Including the analysis of major events and figures in the new democratic revolution by the basic principles and methodology of historical materialism,and the evaluation of major events and figures of the new democratic revolution by adhering to the basic stand of taking the people as the center.We should Strengthen the basic belief of “four self-confidence” to uphold historical self-confidence and insisting on criticizing the new democratic revolution by all kinds of erroneous thoughts from the view of safeguarding the security of national ideology.
