Since the 18 th,the Party Central Committee with Xi Jinping as the core has twice held a national conference on propaganda and ideological work,emphasizing that ideological work is an extremely important work of the party,affecting the future and destiny of the party and the long-term stability of the country,and the cohesiveness and centripetal force of the nation.In order to respond to the call of the party and the state,and striving to achieve the great goal of "two hundred years" at an early date,we must fully focus on the importance of ideological security during academic research process in our academic research.The most important influence on China’s ideological security is from various social trends in the West.Historical nihilism is a social trend that has a great influence on various Western social trends in China.Especially in the field of Mao Zedong’s research,the trend of nihilism is even more serious.The domestic academic circles have begun to pay attention to the influence of historical nihilism on China’s Mao Zedong’s research.At the same time,overseas Mao Zedong research is an important genre of Mao Zedong’s research.Historical nihilism not only affects domestic Mao Zedong research but also affects overseas Mao Zedong research.Careful research has found that historical nihilism often appears in the works of Mao Zedong’s biography,the relationship between Mao Zedong and major historical events,Mao Zedong and the Chinese revolution,and Mao Zedong’s ideological theory.In summarizing the three historical periods of overseas Mao Zedong’s research,it was discovered that the period from the founding of New China to the end of the 1970 s was the heyday of overseas Mao Zedong’s research,and it was also the high period of historical nihilism in overseas Mao Zedong’s research.Through analysis,grasping the history of overseas Mao Zedong’s research.The methodology law and epistemological law of nihilism performance,we clearly criticize historical nihilism,insist on using Marxist universal truth to resist historical nihilism,persist in studying Xi Jinping’s historical view,guard against historical nihilism,and combine the new way of historical nihilism.Grasping the right of network discourse,defending the academic and scientific nature of Mao Zedong’s research,while promoting the standardization and academic development of Mao Zedong’s research,it will promote the study of social thoughts in China and defend the security of China’s ideological field.
