The Research On Copyright Strategies For The Development Of Chinese Vedio Websites

Since the establishment of the first video website in China in 2004,Chinese Internet video industry has developed for more than ten years.During the 11 years,the development of video websites has experienced four stages,namely birth stage,adjustment stage,development stage and mature stage.Just dozens of video websites are left currently from hundreds of video websites initially as a result of the survival of the fittest.In terms of reasons,the copyright is the main decisive factor.When the copyright was ignored,the video website would be eliminated by the industry;when great importance was attached to the copyright,the video website would achieve great development.How does the copyright determine the development trend of video websites? How does the video website implement copyright strategies? And what results have been achieved? The author will take this as a core to analyze the issue of copyright strategies during the development of Chinese video websites.This paper aims at to sort out the development course of Chinese video websites,conduct a concrete analysis of copyright strategies through the case analysis method with Letv as the research object,and do contrast research with other leading video websites in China in terms of their experience.Thereby,this paper tries to find out the factors that restrict the implementation of Chinese video website copyright strategies,conduct a more comprehensive and objective thinking,and provide some useful suggestions for the implementation of Chinese video website copyright strategies in the future.
