Deng Xiaoping Thought Research On "Not To Argue"

This article attempts to stand on the height of the era of “not to argue” generation and application,that is,based on the era of reform and opening up,and strive to conduct a comprehensive investigation of Deng Xiaoping's “not to argue” thought from the two dimensions of theory and practice on an objective basis,to comprehensively and systematically analyze the reasons,main contents and methodological thinking of the “not to argue” thought.Through systematic interpretation and excavation of the “not to argue”idea,in order to provide effective enlightenment for the effective resolution of the new era of controversy and the promotion of comprehensive deepening of reform and socialist modernization with Chinese characteristics.After the end of the Cultural Revolution,China's socialist construction is facing the problem of where to go.The party's second-generation central leadership collective with Deng Xiaoping as the core recognizes that the most fundamental thing is to liberate and develop productive forces.However,as the work of coping with “disordering chaos” in various fields of the country is being carried out one after another,the shift of the focus of the party and the country's work,the implementation and promotion of reform and opening up are faced with a complex background of the times: on the one hand,the shackles of“left” errors that imprison the people's thinking have not been completely eliminated,causing the obstacles to the rapid completion of the work of coping with “disordering chaos” and the smooth implementation of reform and opening up;on the other hand,the erroneous thoughts and values such as the liberalization of the Western bourgeoisie have caused serious “spiritual pollution” and attempted to guide China's reforms to the wrong path.On the basis of grasping the theme of world “peace and development”and fully understanding the national conditions and party conditions,Deng Xiaoping put forward“not to argue” thoughts to promote reform and opening up,building socialism with Chinese characteristics;to help people emancipate the mind;to grasp reform opportunities and promote development.The formation and establishment of Deng Xiaoping's “not to argue” thought fully reflects the power of theoretical logic,historical logic and realistic logic,and at the sametime shines on Deng Xiaoping's personal wisdom.“Not to argue” thought proposed because of the fact that there is “argument” everywhere,and some arguments are unnecessary and a waste of time.The “not to argue” thought advocated by Deng Xiaoping mainly includes:adhering to the party's basic line without arguments;not arguing about issues concerning China's sovereignty and internal affairs;not conducting meaningless disputes in new types of inter-party relations;not using methods of mass or political movements.The fundamental purpose of Deng Xiaoping's “not to argue” thinking is to resolve the dispute and unite the consensus on reform and opening up,and provide an important methodology for the overall socialist service.First,it is clear that we must grasp the “three groups of relations” that seem to be contradictory and dialectical and unified,that is,“arguing” and “not arguing”,“principle problems” and “specific strategies”,“not arguing”and “reform”,“development” and “stability”.Second,the “three favorable” criterion is not only a basis for effectively reducing and avoiding the value judgment,but also an objective basis for measuring the correctness of policies such as reform and opening up.Third,focus on “how to do it”,respond to the new things from reform and opening up and solve“arguments”,Deng Xiaoping advocate “crossing the river by feeling the stones”,and dare to explore new ways and sum up new methods on the basis of seeking truth from facts.From the perspective of historical practice,Deng Xiaoping's “not to argue” thought played an
