In the era of big data,the potential value of data is constantly being tapped and honored.The data-driven economy has become a new and important business model.The development and expansion of the data economy need to allow data to fully mobilize,resulting in the power of scale.The limited size of data owned by individuals determines the necessity of sharing data with third parties.The impact of this is the protection of personal data.The extension to the financial sector is the protection of the privacy rights of financial consumers.However,China has not yet established a systematic financial consumer privacy protection system.When dealing with the impact of data sharing on the protection of financial consumers’ personal financial information,how to deal with the conflict of interests of all parties and stick to protecting bottom line of the privacy rights of financial consumers becomes even more urgent.The purpose of this paper is to analyze and summarize the insufficiency of third-party data sharing and financial consumer privacy conflicts and the typical problems that arise through the elaboration of the third-party data sharing and the basic meaning and necessity of financial consumer privacy rights.In combination with the mature experience in the protection of personal information or financial privacy of the United States,the European Union,and South Korea,the proposal for improving the protection of the privacy rights of financial consumers under third-party data sharing in China is proposed.
