Exploring The Stereoscopic Mechanism Of Community Correction Education

Community rectification is a penalty enforcement system in contrast to imprisonment penalty,which refers to a non-imprisonment penalty that four types of criminals who have been sentenced to public surveillance,imprisonment with a suspension of execution,release on parole or temporary service of their service outside prison are placed in the community,where special state organs,with the assistance of related social groups,non-governmental organizations,and social volunteers,will rectify their criminal mind and bad behavior and help them to smoothly return to society.Community rectification was originated in the middle of 19 th century in countries such as the United Kingdom,the United States,etc.In foreign countries,it has gone through a relatively long course of development with turns and twists,and is still in the course of reform and development.People's opinions regarding community rectification in the academic world differ greatly.As execution socialization is commonly acknowledged today,community rectification has become an internationally practiced penalty enforcement system,and the criminals serving sentences in the community has outnumbered those imprisoned.China started the pilot project of community rectification in 2003,In 2009,thepilot project of community rectification was carried out nationwide.Compared to imprisonment penalty,community rectification can more reasonably allocate penalty enforcement resources to reduce related costs,and absorb social forces to participate to facilitate the criminals' returning to society,thus improving the effect of rectification.Meanwhile,community rectification consists of our country's exploration in innovating social governance,which can strengthen the control of special groups,prevent and reduce crime,and foster a favorable development environment for the jurisdiction.In recent years,our country has gradually realized the transformation of government functions in terms of “small government,big society”,whereby the social organizations play a more important role while enhancing the duty performance by related government departments.In this way,more social organizations can join community rectification education activities,which promote the rectification work to be carried out more professionally and socially,achieving favorable legal and social effects.To practically reduce and prevent recidivism is a brand-new project facing innovation in the social governance model of China.From the perspective of community rectification education work,this thesis,taking Jinhua City of Zhejiang Province as an example,employs the methods of interview and case study to analyze the dilemma posed by current work,and propose some countermeasures and suggestions for innovations under new circumstances.
