System Copyright Protection Of Digital Images In Museum Cultural Relics Collections

In the process of building a strong socialist cultural power,China's mediumand long-term scientific and technological development planning program has listed the improvement of the digital industry and the establishment of a digital cultural platform as key development projects.The museum,which aims to collect,protect and study cultural relics collections,uses digital technology to convert physical cultural relics collections into digital works of full color,high clarity and high fidelity.It realizes the perfect combination of the special times and non-renewable nature of cultural relics and digital technology.With the rapid development of the digital image industry of museum cultural relics collections,the copyright disputes caused by digital images of cultural relics collections are increasing day by day.However,the existing legal system for the protection of digital image copyright in museum cultural relics collections is still incomplete,and there are still loopholes in related digital technologies.The protection of digital image copyright in museum cultural relics collections needs to face many difficulties.Because digital images have easy to copy and tamper with,the copyright problem of digital images in cultural relics collection has seriously affected the intelligent and diversified construction process of museums.The digital dunhuang project of the dunhuang Institute in collaboration with the melon Foundation provides exemplary guidance on the copyright of digital images in museum collections.The Institute uses advanced digital technology to transform cultural heritage into diverse,visible digital works.In order to preserve and record Dunhuang art,the Institute pays attention to the protection of digital Dunhuang image copyright work,and the two sides signed a cooperation agreement with clear rights and responsibilities.The agreement clearly stipulates the key contents such as the copyright subject,object,and the scope of rights exercise of digital Dunhuang works,and proposes specific legal ways to effectively resolve copyright disputes.The digital dunhuang project,which has been developed for more than 20 years,provides practical examples for the museum to solve the real problem of protecting the digital image copyright of cultural relics collections.Starting with the basic concepts of digital image and digital image copyright in museum cultural relics collections,this paper compares the digital image of museum cultural relics collections with ordinary digital images,museum general collections,and museum cultural and creative products.This paper summarizes the current situation of digital image copyright protection in cultural relics collection and the existing legal system.By deeply exploring the beneficial experience of protecting copyright in the digital dunhuang project,it is suggested that the existing copyright laws,such as the Copyright Law and the Museums Ordinance”,should be supplemented and improved on the basis of the characteristics of the digital image copyright subject,object content of the museum's cultural relics collection.Specific implementing rules for the protection of digital image copyright in museum collections should also be drawn up according to the public attributes of museums to educate the public and share information.Since the core attribute of digital images of cultural relics collections is digital images,that is,museums use digital technology to protect physical cultural relics,and put forward reasonable suggestions for increasing high-tech digital technology to solve copyright problems,in order to provide basic theoretical support for the copyright of digital images in museum collections.
