Children are very different from adults in physical function.Their resistance to illness is not strong, therefore, there is a relatively high probability of getting ill,and almost every child will go to the hospital for treatment and medication in each infant stage.Meanwhile, they are not able to describe the disease or their description is not comprehensive and accurate, and with no civil capacity or no full civil capacity. As a result, they need to rely on the guardian to communicate with the doctor and offer assistance with the treatment in the medical process.Accordingly, regarding this special patient population, physicians should fulfill a more special and detailed duty of care in the course of giving medication to children. But in practice, physicians lack of duty of care to the medication for children.According to the 2016 children's medication statistics, the incidence of adverse reactions in children reached 12.9% annually in China, causing about 30,000 children become deaf each year.Of course, this result may be due to the childrens' auditory system and physical function of the development of imperfect, but the incomplete performance in duty of care to the medication for children of pediatricians has much to do with it too.If the pediatrician fails to fulfill the necessary duty of care,it will often lead to medical damage to children, resulting in severe allergic reactions, kidney poisoning, liver poisoning,drug-induced deafness and other serious diseases.Giving medication to children is not only a dose reduction, but also needs a kindly selection of the drugs appropriate for children of a certain age.In the face of such a special group, pediatricians should fulfill more duty of care than common medical practices. This requires pediatricians to be more focused and more careful in the course of giving medication to children, and do their best to take reasonable measures to avoid serious medical results to them.Meanwhile, the lacks of duty of care for pediatricians will not only cause health damage to children, but also may for patients with medical disputes and even fierce conflicts between doctors and patients, what's more,it may cause malignant criminal cases. This paper is divided into four parts.Starting from the present situation and the reason of the lack of duty of care for physicians in the practice of giving medication to children,it will analyze and clarify the level and type of a physician's duty of care in pediatric medication according to the particularity of the daily process.
