A Study On The Philosophical Implication And Practical Application Of Xijinping's Bottom-line Thinking

Since the convening of the 18~thh NCCPC,China's social development has welcomed the period of social transformation and interest adjustment and there also have been various apparent contradictions.Meanwhile,along with the complicated and changing international situation,there have emerged diversified patterns.In the face of complicated international situation and surrounding environment and burdensome task of reform&development stabilization,the bottom-line thinking arises at the right moment to prevent major risks and keep highly vigilant against incidents like“Black Swan”and“Gray Rhinoceros”.At the Central Economic Working Conference in 2012,general secretary Xi Jinping proposed the issue of bottom line for the first time and put forward specific requirements on the application of bottom-line thinking in many occasions.Bottom-line thinking is a thinking technique and principle of methodology based on the bottom line and aiming for the best result by making the worst plan.As a thinking mode,bottom-line thinking has three characteristics:backward-looking,accurate and positive.It is the realistic expression of taboo culture and distress consciousness;it is the inheritance and development of Mao Zedong's thoughts and the theoretical system of socialism with Chinese characteristics in the period of revolutionary construction and the period of reform and development;it is a realistic choice of accurate judgment of national conditions,Party conditions and international conditions.Bottom-line thinking fits closely into the essence of materialist philosophy and contains rich Marxist philosophies such as materialism,dialectics and epistemology.It is a problem-oriented,realistic and pragmatic scientific way of thinking.From the perspective of dialectical materialism,bottom-line thinking adheres to the fundamental requirement of dialectical materialism,centers on the dialectical relationship between matter and consciousness and bases everything on reality,such as specific national conditions,Party conditions and international conditions,which is a scientific way of thinking that combines subjective initiative with objective laws and can be used for solving problems and contradictions in China.From the perspective of materialist dialectics,bottom-line thinking sticks to the view of association based on a full understanding that contractions are both opposite and unified,admits the evolving nature of things and uses the law of mutual change of quality to ensure that there will be no subversive mistakes in the country and society.From the perspective of epistemology,bottom-line thinking is the application and development of the relationship between practice and cognition based on China's reform and opening up and the practice of Party members.Xi Jinping's bottom-line thinking is innovative on the basis of inheriting the predecessors'thinking,which has been widely applied in guiding the construction of socialist economy,politics,culture,society,ecology,Party and government,and diplomacy with Chinese characteristics.It is the concrete application and embodiment of Marxist philosophy in the reform and an important theoretical weapon that instruct cadres of all levels to better solve prominent problems,face challenges and lead the public to realize the Chinese dreams of national rejuvenation,national prosperity and people's happiness.Therefore,bottom-line thinking possesses important theoretical value and practical significance.
