The present research consists of four parts: overview, basic theory, techniques and experiment.Among them, the first part of this thesis systematically reviews relevant studies both domestic and abroad, and points out the problems of existing studies such as the lack of theoretical depth, reliability and operability.Besides, the first chapter states the effects of evidence disclosure during interrogation, which in this thesis is to detect deceits of suspects and elicit new information from suspects. The second part discusses about the four principles of evidence disclosure, evidence cognition,anti-interrogation strategy, verbal response of suspects and viewpoint taking of investigators, and the relationship between them. This part states that before the start of the interrogation, suspects usually form their own evidence cognation, evidence cognition further influence the formation of their anti-interrogation strategy, which affect the verbal response of suspects during the interrogation.Meanwhile, this part points out that the evidence cognition of suspects is dynamic, which is under the influence of both subjective and objective factors, among which the evidence disclosure technique is an important one.The third part puts forward two specific techniques of evidence disclosure, namely, the strategic use of evidence and evidence presentation tactics. The present study states that by concealing the evidence when asking open questions to stimulate the free report of the criminal suspects, the investigators can induce the contradiction between evidence and confession to the greatest extent and detect the deceit of the criminal suspects accordingly.By properly questioning the suspects after their free report and asking the suspects to clarify the contradictions between evidence and their confession, the investigators can timely expose the lies of the suspects and induce the inconsistencies within their confessions.By disassembling the single indirect evidence from two aspects: source of information(from weak to strong)and content of information(from general to specific),presenting the evidence in the order from weak to strong and increase the intensity of questions progressively, investigators can effectively exaggerate the evidence cognition of suspects, which is conducive to eliciting subsequent information from suspects. Finally,in the fourth part,a simulation experiment was conducted to compare the difference between the strategic use of evidence and the early disclosure method in deception detection and information elicitation, with a sample of 40 college students. The results show that the strategic use and progressive presentation of evidence can effectively help investigators with deception detection and effectively elicit the information about the crucial phase in a crime from suspects.
