WeChat Group And Reconstruction Of "Family" In China

The family group based on WeChat social platform,let its members break through the space barrier,the time tension,reconstruct a virtual family existence,and form a new social structure and interactive relationship,redefine the authority and order.This study adopts the method of network ethnography,through the participatory observation of 5 cases of WeChat family group,assisted by in-depth interviews,and carries out point-centered analysis,intermediary-centric analysis and case analysis of chat content in one stage,in order to reveal the "structure-function"group based on WeChat group in group interaction,information dissemination,structure,power and function,etc.characteristics and changes.The research results show that the digital family based on wechat group shows a self-induced internal structure and shows strong vitality,which can promote the equality of parent-child relationship,the harmony of mother-in-law and daughter-in-law relationship,the kinship relationship is more intimate;the digital family promotes the unique group culture and family style;realizes the long-distance "adhesion" among family members,and enhances the sense of belonging of family members;and the cohesion is also a kind of reconstruction,which reshapes the collective memory and consciousness of family members.
