Analysis Of U.S. Immigration Policies During The Trump Era

Immigrants are an important part of America.The immigration issue affects the political,economic,social,and cultural aspects of the United States.During the Trump era,the United States faced a new situation of immigration issues,and the U.S.government issued corresponding immigration policies to solve them.This article mainly uses four chapters to sort out the U.S.immigration policy during the Trump era.The first chapter reviews the history of U.S.immigration policy and briefly explains the current status of U.S.immigrants.Changes in the immigrant population structure,education level,and career choices will affect the direction of immigration policies.The second chapter discusses the immigration problem and its development in the early days of Trump's presidency.The main source and settlement tendency of U.S.unauthorized immigrants have changed,and its impact on the United States has been controversial.The proportion of relative immigrants among all immigrants is too high.As the immigrant group grows,its assimilation process is also slowed down by various resistances.The third chapter summarizes the immigration policy during the Trump era.Its policies mainly include four aspects:building the Trump wall,vigorously expelling unauthorized immigrants and suspending their legalization,drastically reducing the size of refugees and withdrawing from relevant international agreements,promoting comprehensive reforms of legal immigration whose main purpose is to cut down the quota of family-based immigrants to increase the quota of employment immigrants.The last chapter analyzes the impact of the U.S.immigration policies during the Trump era.On the one hand,the immigration policies have played a certain role in controlling the scale of immigrants and unauthorized immigrants;on the other hand,they have negatively affected US politics,economy,society.It also caused certain damage in US-Mexico relations and in the national image.
