The game between the United States and Russia in the Middle East not only lasts for a long time,the competition is diverse,and the interests of all parties are complicated.It is full of fierce competition and wrestling.After the outbreak of chemical weapons crisis,the United States and Russia fought a number of contests around it.There are chemical weapons crisis in 2013 and the two "suspected chemical weapons crisis" in 2017 and 2018.Policies and methods have changed along with battlefield in Syria,which has largely changed environment of the Syria and Assad regime in the Middle East.The United States has gradually changed from strong intervention to partial intervention,while Russia has shown power from passive to active diplomacy.The Syria issue involves many spheres of influence,which is the result of multiple forces.The essence of the game between the United States and Russia around the chemical weapon crisis is that the United States represented by hegemonism and Russia as an anti-institutionalist,struggle for geopolitical interests in the Middle East.Both sides need to keep the balance between multiple forces,safeguard their own national interests and security,compete for power and global status in the Middle East.In this process,both the United States and Russia have fierce games and the necessary compromises due to the situation,which not only shows the important status of Syria,but also shows the complexity of US-Russian relations in the Syria.
