At present, the problem of aging in China is serious.By 2020,China's population of over 60 will reach 248 million, accounting for 17.2%of the total population. In order to cope with the problem of aging, the Party Central Committee and the State Council have formulated a series of major strategies and plans.Due to the family planning policy,China currently presents a "4-2-1" family patterns. The traditional family pension model is difficult to provide adequate care for the elderly, institutional pension is still subject to the traditional concept of pension, which has spawned home-based care as a new pension model that adapts to the severe situation of agingStarting from the demand side, this study uses the data of Chinese Longitudinal Healthy Longevity Survey(CLHLS)to conduct a descriptive statistical analysis, factor analysis, comparative analysis and regression analysis to study the needs and influencing factors of urban elderly home care servicesFirst of all, studying the characteristics of urban elderly people's demand for home care services in order to understand the current status of urban elderly people's demand;second, using factor analysis to measure the level of demand in various regions and derive regional demand differences;third, using 2005,2008,2011 and 2014 urban home care service demand and supply data, through horizontal and vertical comparative analysis find the gap between supply and demand;finally, using the binary logistic model to analyze the influencing factors of home care service demand. The main conclusions drawn in this article includes:The elderly in urban areas generally have a higher demand for home care services, but the regional demand levels vary significantly.Demand is relatively low in regions where the economic level and the development level of the pension industry are relatively high, while provinces with large populations and empty nests have relatively high demand. There is also a gap between the supply and demand of home care services.Although the current supply and demand gap is slightly lower than the base period, there is still a serious imbalance between supply and demand. The influencing factors of demand for various home care services are different, and the factors affect the demand for home care services for the elderly in urban areas which are mainly the individual factors of the elderly, family factors, psychological and social activities, etc.Among them, the impact of gender and economic conditions on the demand for home care services is not significant. Finally, combining with the conclusion of this article, puts forward countermeasures and suggestions to promote the development of home care services.
