Research On The Influence Of Basic Pension Insurance On The Health Of The Elderly

Basic pension insurance is an important part of China's social insurance system and an important source of income for the elderly.Its coverage and security level have received extensive attention from the whole society.At present,in the study of the relationship between social insurance and aging health in academia,there are few researches on the relationship between basic pension insurance and aging health that can directly affect the income of the elderly.Although some scholars have discussed this aspect,but in the current research,there is still a lack of research that different types of pension insurance have different impact on aging health.In this context,this paper uses the data of the China Health and Pension Tracking Survey(CHARLS)project in 2015 to analyze and compare several types of basic pension insurance that exist in China currently.Firstly,it summarizes the different types of basic pension insurance in China by establishing an ordered multiple regression model.It is found that institution pension,basic retirement insurance and basic pension insurance for urban and rural residents have a positive impact on the physical health of the elderly;institution pension and basic retirement insurance have a positive impact on the mental health of the elderly;government pension and new rural pension insurance have no significant positive impact on the health of the elderly;and the pension insurance have different effects on the elderly with different genders.The effect of basic retirement insurance on the physical health of male elderly is greater the that of female elderly;The effect of promoting the mental health of female elderly is greater than that of male elderly;The new rural pension insurance has asignificant negative impact on the mental health of the male insured elderly,but no significant impact on the health of the female elderly.Finally,this paper provide some ideas and suggestions for constructing a sound pension insurance system and the service system for elderly,and improving the health of the elderly.That is to improve the payment level of basic pension insurance steadily,and narrow the treatment gap between the different types of basic pension insurance,Open up the internal upswing channel of the basic pension insurance system,help China smoothly enter the period of "population healthy aging".
