Why The Long March Spirit Endures

This paper mainly adopts a diachronic perspective,taking the 40 th,60th,and80 th anniversary reports of the Long March in the People's Daily,and the earliest articles of the Long March as research object in order to explore the reason why the Long March spirit is still prosperous.The full text is divided into six parts: The first part takes the earliest articles of the Long March as research object and explores the connotations of this spirit emphasized in these articles and its reasons.The second,third and fourth parts take respectively the 40 th,60th,and 80 th anniversary reports of the Long March in the People's Daily as research object to examine the spiritual connotations highlighted in these reports and corresponding reasons.The fifth part mainly summarizes the whole reasons for the Long March spirit's longevity.The sixth part explains the important role of the geospatial elements for the eternity of this spirit.Through combing and analyzing the earliest articles of the Long March and the40 th,60th,and 80 th anniversary reports of the Long March in People's Daily,we found that there are three key factors for its longevity: the rich spiritual connotations,the actively used by the party and the country for practical needs and the advantage of its geospatial space.
