| After the rural compulsory education student nutrition improvement plan has a comprehensive coverage of Gansu Province,in order to understand more about the present situation and existing problems of the rural primary school feeding implementation in the urban-rural fringe zone,this study carried out a field investigation by taking a rural primary school in Lanzhou City as a sample.Through the use of observation,interview,questionnaire survey and other research methods,the data and information are collected and sorted out.The implementation of Nutrition Improvement Plan of the rural primary schools in the urban-rural fringe zone was preliminarily analyzed.The following main conclusions are obtained from this survey:(a)teachers,students and parents get some incomplete understanding and deviation to the policy and work of Nutrition improvement Plan.The school gradually developed their own school feeding management and work experience,but there are still various problems and difficulties in the work,especially the negligence of the details in supervision and management work,lack of staffs,the feeding conditions and a good communication etc.;(b)compare with the remote schools,most of urban-rural schools adopt enterprise feeding mode,because of the large number of their students and their superiority of product currency and convenient transportation,enterprise feeding mode has advantages in sanitation,transportation and quantified supervision etc.,but there are some limitations in the variety and nutritious value of meals;(c)after the implementation of school meals,students’ nutrition and health was improved,however compare with urban students,there are still many problems and distance of the rural students’ physique and health in urban-rural school;and(d)the implementation of school meals has exposed the weakness of rural students education for all-around development,such as the health education,and labor skill education.Therefore moral education should be further strengthened.Learned from the domestic and international experience of students nutrition improvement work and combined with the actual situation,this study suggests that the school feeding work need to be greatly improved in the following aspects:(a)intensify the school feeding work information publicity to enhance the understanding and cooperation of school meals from the public;(b)broaden and strengthen the communication and supervision of the school feeding work,encourage the public to supervise the school meals;(c)equip and construct the school feeding facilities reasonably,diversify the operation of school meals;(d)develop school meals according to local conditions,time and students,ensure the meals quality;(e)encourage schools attract talents in the society and students’ parents to participate in the improvement of nutritional meals;(f)make use of the implementation of school meals to promote education for students’ all-around development. |
