| Objective:The purpose of this study was to investigate the influnce of shoe bending stiffness on comfort and biomechanical mechanism of lower extremity in running of those with plantar fasciitis(PF).Indor to providing references for designing and manufacturing shoes for manufacture and targeted suggestions for customer. Methods: We recruited male runners with a history of pf(n=7)and healthy indivaiduals(n=9)without any lowerlimb injury as control subjects for this study. We prepared three pair of shoes with different midsole bending stiffness. Each of the subjects wore three pairs of shoes in a random order after wearing the control shoes.Firstly subjects performed in each of three shoe conditions.Kinematic and kinetic data were simultaneously collected each trial and immediately finished the VAS scale. The following part need all the participates running on a treadmill for 30 minutes. After taking a two-minute break, wore three pairs of shoes and finished the biomechanics test and VAS scale as last time. The mixed measure was used to compare the effect of comfort and lower extremity biomechanics on subjective were used to compare according to three independent variables of the group, time and different shoe bending stiffness. Results: There is a different requirement for the bending stiffness of running shoes between Plantar fasciitis runners and healthy indivaiduals. The medium stiffness shoe showed higher perceived comfort rating in terms of forefoot cushioning compared with lower and higher stiffness shoe in both two group of participetes(p=0.034);both two groups thought that the overall comfort of medium shoe was better than higher one(p=0.032).The effect of shoe bending stiffness on metatarsophalangeal joint work and angle were significant, and showed no difference in joint work and angle for hip and knee joint. Conclusions: Plantar fasciitis runners are more inclined to wear medium stiffness shoe, the lower stiffness shoes did not have a good comfortable experience for them.Different stiffness shoe has an effect on joint angle, joint energy of metatarsophalangeal and ankle joint of two group runners, and there is no significant influence on the hip or knee joint. |
