This paper makes a comparison of six excellent men's single badminton players in the world.Through the analysis of the technical and tactical characteristics of the athletes in competitions,the purpose of this paper is to help badminton players better understand how to deploy their technical and tactical skills in six aspects of serving,receiving,front court,midcourt,back court and full court.(1)The main way of their serving is near net ball and occasionally combined with flat clear.The drop points are mainly distributed in No.1 area and No.5 zone.In the process of receiving,the main techniques used by the world's excellent men's single players are net drop and pushing.By doing so,they could prevent opponent to make attack and then obtain opportunity for attacking in the next hit.(2)Lifting is the top one technique used by players in front court,net drop is the second one.Net shot is rarely used in front court play.In the aspect of scoring and losses,net shot is the most effective way to get points,and lifting in a positive positon is the most likely way to lose points.(3)Blocking is the top one technique used by players in midcourt.Striking is the second one.As for blocking in terms of scoring and losses,the percentage of missed points is greater than that of scoring.However,striking is in the opposite way.(4)Smash and net drop are top two techniques in the tactics of back court.In the aspect of scoring,smash is the most effective way to get points,and net drop in a positive positon is the most unlikely way to lose points.(5)Among overall utilization of the techniques in the whole field,the percentage of techniques utilized in front court is the highest.In the aspect of scoring and losses,the techniques used by players in back court are at the same percentage of scoring and losses.
