In view of the present development situation of track and field course in public colleges and universities sports curriculum,as well as the existing problems,this article added and optimized the contents of the experimental group of track and field courses in public sports courses.The two classes of students majoring in track and field in the spring semester of Beijing sports university were selected as the survey subject.On the basis of the original syllabus,increasing the physical training and sports games that related to run,jump,throw projects.It aimed at finding the program objective and the framework of content that consistent with the demand of contemporary college students' sports exercise.It causes the student to rediscover the important value in track and field exercise,and to change the traditional view of track and field course.This paper uses the methods of literature,observation,interview,questionnaire,experiment and mathematical statistics,and draws the following conclusions:1.Found in the survey,a growing number of sports is listed as one of college PE course.The students who choose the track and field is less and less,more willing to choose the more interesting sports.The students' understanding of track and field is still in a biased stage.2.From the point of teaching methods and means,shorten the study time on special technology of track and field,and each lesson was added 30 minutes physical training that related to running,jumping,throwing technology.It not only affect the technologies of this three,and improve the learning effect.3.The results of the final assessment of the experimental group were 100 meters,long jump and lead ball.Although there was no significant difference between the control group and the control group,there was a certain gap in the mean.In terms of overall,in the experimental teaching content increase and running,jumping,for special technology related to physical exercise,the contents of the experimental group the final assessment result has a certain influence.4.Compared with the control group in the experimental group,it was concluded that the increase of physical quality training had a certain effect on the speed,endurance,strength and flexibility of the experimental group,especially the students' speed,endurance and lower limb strength.However,the effect on upper limb strength and flexibility was not significant.5.After a semester of adding special physical training to the experimental group,the students in the experimental group performed better than the control group in terms of improvement of physical quality,mastery of motor skills,improvement of knowledge and skills,and subjective participation in the classroom.6.The teaching experiment enables the students to learn and master some practical and practical methods for the development of physical fitness and basic motor skills,so that students can use relevant physical qualities after class to exercise and develop good exercise habits.The change of attitude and consciousness will affect the students much more than the improvement of athletic ability.
