It has become a well-known public issue that the transformation of traditional agricultural society to modern industrial society, especially the production of food commercially and intensively has brought a big crisis to ordinary people's health. The right to narrate can be understood as such an opinion: for the benefits of ourselves and our younger generations,we should listen to and write down the experiences and wisdom of the elderly adults about everyday diet practice. We can analyse this practice in three parts such as material choosing cooking and taboo as well as recipe.Material choosing means good to eating, and pay attention to the order and ethic during the process of material gaining and making, only in this way can we guarantee a healthy diet and the minor happiness from the origin;the change of cooking technology and lonely living environment lead to a watery diet feeling of the elderly adults, behind which we can see a paradox mood of understanding and no choice during the transformation and process of chasing and realizing the family values they cherished;third, after several decades' practice, for the defence of body and for a healthier usage of food or a better tasty feeling, there comes in to being of diet taboo and recipe. In a total sense, the everyday diet practice of the elderly adults is influenced by their life experiences and social environment,so there lies a obvious gap during different generations, but it is not so unchangeable,it is in the ways of communication that we can see the diet values and wisdom which the elderly adults cherish most.
