A Tentative Study On The Impacts Of The Trend Of Historical Nihilism On College Students And The Corresponding Countermeasures

General Secretary Xi Jinping says,“When we go forward,we should never forget the paths that we have traveled;and no matter how far and how glorious the future will be,we should never forget the past that we have experienced.” History is valuable spiritual wealth and is not allowed to be distorted or slandered.The re-inundation of the trend of historical nihilism,in the name of re-evaluation,denies our history and traditional Chinese culture,which does great harm to college students and hinders the realization of Chinese Dream.At the same time,college students are the core of Chines Dream.Therefore,it is imperative to analyze the causes and to resist the harms of the influences of the trend of historical nihilism on college students.Meanwhile,it is also a necessary requirement of realizing Chinese Dream.Based on the relevant theories in ideological and political education,this paper adopts the literature review method,theoretical and empirical analysis method,and inter-disciplinary method.Firstly,related conceptions in the trend of historical nihilism will be defined,its main characteristics and essence will be summarized,and its dissemination characteristics will also be demonstrated.Secondly,we will analyze the influences of the trend of historical nihilism on college students and the corresponding causes.Finally,this paper proposes the countermeasures against its harms,and at the same time,suggests that more studies on the trend of historical nihilism should be done in the future,optimizing the atmosphere and creating a friendly social environment,strengthening the ideological and political education in college,enhancing the college students' self-construction and building solid defense against its impact.
