Socialist core values are the overall embodiment of China's mainstream social value system,and it is also the overall value orientation of contemporary Chinese society and culture.It is a value concept that regulates the conduct and execution of all people's conduct,and has a leading role in the formation of the values of high school students.The education and teaching of socialist core values in the high school ideological class is not only based on the essential provisions of the new curriculum reforms on moral education,but also the internal requirements of responding to the improvement of students' comprehensive literacy and the timeliness of the curriculum.It is also adapted to the socioeconomic development.The objective needs.The ultimate goal of the ideological and political curriculum is to improve students' moral qualities,make them consciously internalize socialist core values,and promote their physical and mental development.The realization of this goal requires that teachers can not blindly instill classroom theory,but should use a variety of teaching methods including participatory teaching in the core value education teaching to improve effectiveness.The new curriculum reform requirements are consistent with the characteristics of participatory teaching,emphasizing the cultivation of students' sense of innovation and the spirit of active inquiry and cooperative learning,and advocate the basic philosophy of being student-centered,teacher-led,and teaching-cum-long.Since the implementation of the new curriculum reform,the teaching content of socialist core values has increased substantially in the teaching materials of middle schools.However,in the practice of teaching,the use of teaching methods to deal with more abstract socialist core values remains difficult and the teaching results are not satisfactory.Therefore,applying participatory teaching methods to core value classroom teaching will help education to return to students' learning life,helping students to understand the socialist core values through theory and practice,and improve their adaptability to society.As a new type of teaching,participatory teaching,through the democratic participation of teachers and students to create a harmoniousclassroom teaching activities,enables students to fully play the main role in teaching,independent thinking,equal participation,and wholeheartedly involved in all aspects of teaching.Teachers will play a role in the organization and guidance of teaching,encouraging,inducing and mobilizing students,and promoting students' ability to solve problems independently.In view of this,this article relies on relevant teaching theories,and on the basis of summarizing the successful teaching experience of teachers,discusses the principles and methods of participatory teaching in the education and teaching of socialist core values in order to obtain useful insights and gains.The research content of this paper is divided into four parts: The first part traces the origin of "participatory teaching",expounds the connotation and theoretical basis of "participatory teaching",and analyzes the application scope and restricting factors of participatory teaching.The second part clarifies the concept of socialist core values and its main content,and analyzes the characteristics of socialist core values set in the high school ideological education curriculum and its four modules.The third part discusses the details of the application of participatory teaching in the teaching process of socialist core values through four links throughout the teaching.The fourth part summarizes the possible shortcomings of participatory teaching itself and its problems in the teaching of socialist core values,and explores the countermeasures to the effective use of participatory teaching when socialist core values are integrated into high school ideological and political lessons.
