People with complex skills which means good foundation,wide knowledge and high ability are widely welcome in today's society.Chinese universities attach great importance to train people more diversified in knowledge,skills and the way they think.Setting up the double degree education is one of the most important measures to train people.Doing researches on development and innovation of double degree courses education in China gains experiences from history,it tries to find laws from development and provide ideas for reform.So it is meaningful in reality.In more than 30 years after the reform and opening up,there are three periods to develop the double degree courses education in China:the embryo period;the developing period;and the innovating period.There are differences in each period.At first,few universities in China set the double degree courses,they run the courses all by themselves,in some traditional subjects.Now lots of Chinese universities have set the double degree courses,they work together,provide courses for students in other schools,and try to set courses in some new subjects.There are difficulties in the double degree education now:incompatible policies,poor curriculum resource,low sharing efficiency,and bad teaching management.To innovate the double degree courses education in China,we can take following measures:changing the national academic degree system into school academic degree system,encouraging teachers to make new courses,improving the efficiency of resource allocation,and perfect administration in colleges.
