Teacher immediacy, teacher credibility, and student nonverbal behavior all have effects on teaching. And there are complex mechanisms of the interaction between these three elements. This study use the emotional contagion theory as a lens to explain such interaction. In order to develop the scientific tools, this study first revised the Source Credibility Measure(teacher version)and Student Nonverbal Responsiveness scale. Then,we combined the Teacher Immediacy scale with these two scale as the tools to test 41 teachers and 1195 students from 4 middle schools in Shanxi province.By using SPSS and Mplus to analyse the data, and built a multi-level 1-1-2 mediator model between these three elements. The results showed that revised Source Credibility Measure(Teacher version)has good reliability and validity, and Student Nonverbal Responsiveness scale also has good reliability and validity. The revised scale could be the scientific tools in psychology. The results also showed that the teacher immediacy, the teacher credibility and the student nonverbal responsiveness were positive linked, and teacher credibility was a mediator for the teacher immediacy and the student nonverbal responsiveness. Conclusion:emotional contagion plays an important role in class.Students will unconsciously mirror their teacher's behavior. As a result, teachers should show more immediacies to develop their credibility, and finally make students produce more nonverbal responsiveness in class. This effect could promote the interaction between teachers and their students, and refine the teaching efficiency in class.
