Competitive balance is the foundation of sustainable development of professional sports. The competition balance of professional football has reached a high level of research in abroad, and some core research results have been put into practice by some professional football leagues. The research on the competition balance of China professional football is relatively scarce, and it cannot guide and serve the healthy operation of the domestic professional football league. Therefore,it is beneficial to study the competition balance of China professional football to promote the stable development of the Chinese professional football league. This article uses literature research method, expert investigation method, mathematical statistics method and other scientific research methods to compare and analyze the competitive balance between the Chinese Super League and the top 5 football leagues in Europe. It points out the inadequacies in the operation of the Super League and improve ourselves by lessening from European football development experience. The main conclusions are as follows:1.Since 2009,the dominance of the 5 clubs in the Chinese Super League has continued to increase, the gap in the competitiveness of the clubs has continued to widen, and competition in the league has gradually become imbalanced.Although the overall level of competition imbalance in the Chinese Super League has not reached the level of the five major European leagues, the competitive imbalance of the Super League has been noticeably accelerated. In the future, the level of competition imbalance in the Chinese Super League will reach or even exceed the level of the five European leagues.2.Using Exploratory Factor Analysis identified the five major factors that affect the competition imbalance in the Chinese Super League:1)the league system.the national football policy is continuous favorable, the imperfect of the club corporate institutions has caused club investors to be overly impulsive. The incompleteness of the club's financial operation regulation has exacerbated this mentality.2)The cognitive level.Chinese society lacks a clear understanding of the competition balance of professional sports, professional football clubs do not form a community of interests, vicious competition.3)Economic level. The country's economy continues to grow, and the government and society have more liquidity. The national football policy favors the flow of government and social capital to professional football. However, due to the economic and social differences in the regions where the club is located, capital is concentrated in a few clubs.4)External benefit level. For club investors, football clubs are only a short-term benefit of "expediency." Club investors seek government policy support, advertising effects, etc.Club investors do not hesitate to invest too much.Based on the above four aspects, the current competition of the Super League clubs on the field depends entirely on the wealth value of the club owners, but there is a huge difference in the wealth value among the club holders, and thus the economic strength gap among the clubs has increased. In turn, excellent players are concentrated in few clubs, and the competition gap in the between clubs is widening, and competition in the league is gradually becoming unbalanced.5)Management level. At present, the Chinese Football Association supervises the rightto control and operate CSL.However, the interests between the Chinese Football Association and the club are inconsistent. The Chinese Super League Football Association often fails to manage the league(promulgates 7 foreign player policies that benefit a small number of clubs)and does not comply with the law. There is no sanction for malicious mining players.Ineffective management has played a role in the gradual imbalance in the Chinese Super League competition.3.There are both advantages and disadvantages of the Chinese Super League competition imbalance.Advantages: Competitive imbalance stimulate the enthusiasm of the fans to watch the game and enhance the brand value and global influence of CSL.Drawbacks: Competitive imbalance cause high transfer fees and high salary of players at home and abroad, which increase the operating burden of the club and then hurt the development foundation of Chinese football and the competition results of national team at all levels.4.As the management department of the football league,it is necessary to weigh the advantages and disadvantages of the competition imbalance of CSL,and the relationship between the healthy development of the Chinese Super League and the cultivation of reserve talents. It is necessary to promote the relative balance of the Chinese Super League competition through institutional innovation.Drawing lessons from European experience,we should proceed from the following aspects: Accelerate the development of professional football leagues;improve the ownership structure of the club;establish a club financial supervision mechanism to regulate the club's financial operations;improve the league's collective economic benefits distribution system;and improve domestic player transfer rules,Pay attention to the basics of youth training.
