With the development of the global economy and the adjustment of the industrial structure,the sports industry has become an important economic growth point in the western developed countries' economic system.Professional sports as the core content of the sports industry,determines the size and speed of the development of sports industry.Western developed countries,the vigorous development of professional sports,not only for the sports industry has brought good economic benefits,and by driving tourism and other related industries,to promote the local urban economic development.Wuhan City as a large city in central China,is currently in a period of vigorous development,to build the national central city,to enhance the level of urban internationalization is an important goal of urban development.The development potential of professional sports is huge,it is an important force to accelerate the transformation of Wuhan's economic development mode,promote the upgrading of industrial structure,expand domestic demand,increase employment and cultivate new economic growth point.It is important to maintain stability,adjust structure,promote reform,The construction of the international reputation of the vitality of the capital,the health of all have a very important significance.This paper analyzes the current situation of professional sports development in Wuhan by means of scientific methods such as literature,expert interview,comparative analysis,model and logical reasoning,and compares it with the benchmarking city of professional sports in China.The Disparity and Deficiency of Professional Sports in Wuhan.This paper analyzes the external environment and internal factors of Wuhan professional sports development by using PEST model and SWOT model,summarizes the advantages,disadvantages,opportunities and challenges of Wuhan professional sports,constructs the array matrix and analyzes them,and draws a series of corresponding conclusions,SO,WO,ST,WT four combinations of strategies.Research and use of the theory of economics and management theory,put forward a new research ideas and methods,the results for the Wuhan professional sports development strategy to provide a reference.Main conclusions:(1)Compared with the western developed countries,China's sports industry is small in scale and structural imbalance,professional sports development in the initial stage.But with the policy continues to improve and the continuous development of the market,China's professional sports is about to enter the stage of rapid development.(2)Wuhan professional sports smaller and poor development,direct economic benefits have been at a loss.However,from the perspective of indirect economic benefits,the development of professional sports in Wuhan has a positive effect on the urban economic development of Wuhan.(3)Compared with the benchmarking cities of Beijing,Shanghai and Guangzhou,the development of professional sports in Wuhan is obviously lagging behind,not only in the scale of industry far behind Beijing and Shanghai,but also in the degree of marketization of the club Far better than in Guangzhou.(4)Wuhan professional sports internal advantage is greater than the disadvantage,external opportunities and challenges coexist.Therefore,the development of professional sports in Wuhan should carry forward the advantages and avoid disadvantages at the same time,actively grasp the external opportunities,and strive to deal with external challenges,the combination of four strategic portfolio,and continuously enhance their competitiveness.
