In recent years, the economic level of all parts of China has been significantly improved, but the imbalance of regional development has become more and more prominent,so in recent years the regional wage different has become one of the hot issues of scholars. So far,the research on regional wage disparity has been very rich, but there are also some shortcomings. Most of the existing studies on regional wage differentials from the perspective of industrial agglomeration are based on manufacturing industry.Few scholars have studied from other industries.China is a big manufacturing country, but with the development of information technology, especially the emergence of high-tech industries such as Internet, cloud computing and Internet of Things. With the continuous development of traditional service industry and its transformation into new service industry,China's modern service industry has also developed rapidly(Chen Jianjun,2009).Therefore,in the new economic situation,it is necessary to explore the formation of regional wage gap from the perspective of spatial agglomeration of modern service industry.According to the characteristics of various industries in modern service industry, this paper divides modern service industry into three categories:producer service industry, life service industry and public welfare service industry. On the basis of extensive reading and summarizing the relevant literature, this paper attempts to sort out the emergence of industrial agglomeration of modern service industry for regional workers from the perspective of new economic geography.Under the guidance of theoretical basis, this paper constructs a relevant empirical model, using 30 provinces and municipalities in mainland China from 2003 to 2016 as samples, using panel GMM estimation method to explore the internal relationship between different types of modern service industry agglomeration and Regional Wage gap.The results show that:(1)locality.The positive effect of district wage is the agglomeration of modern service industry, producer service industry and life service industry on the whole level, but the agglomeration of public welfare service industry has a negative impact on regional wage.(2)The agglomeration of modern service industry at the whole level, producer service industry agglomeration and life service industry agglomeration have different positive effects on regional wages, among which the impact of producer service industry is greater than that of life service industry, and the effect of life service industry is higher than that of modern service industry at the whole level.(3)From the perspective of co-agglomeration among industries, the co-agglomeration of modern service industry, producer service industry, life service industry and manufacturing industry has a positive impact on regional wages, but the co-agglomeration of public welfare service industry and manufacturing industry has no significant impact on the improvement of Regional Wage level.Based on the theoretical analysis and empirical research results, combined with the development status of service industry in China and the wage level in different regions, this paper puts following policy recommendations:(1)Improving the support and guarantee of laws and policies for the development of modern service industry;(2)Coordinating industrial linkages and constructing modern service industry and manufacturing. The interactive development mechanism of industry;(3)Speeding up the process of liberalization of trade;(4)Speeding up the process of ownership reform and marketization;(5)Encouraging enterprises to invest in human capital, technological innovation and other fields.
