Study On Employment Effect Of Modern Service Industry In Yunnan Province

Yunnan Province,a border area,is located in the southwest part of China.The comprehensive development level of Yunnan Province falls behind that of many other provinces in the country.Since the reform and opening up,Yunnan Province has adopted an industrial structure dominated by the production and exportation of raw materials and primary products,that results in over-exploitation of mineral resources of the province.At the same time,it rigorously damaged the ecological environment.Therefore,it is very essential to develop the modern service industry which can hardly damage environments while stimulates the stagnant labor force in Yunnan Province.In the long run,the development of modern service industry will firstly have a positive effect on alleviating the employment pressure in Yunnan at this stage.Secondly,it can form a pattern of mutual promotion and coordinated development of the primary,secondary and tertiary industries,then upgrade the industrial structure of Yunnan Province,and finally achieve economic growth in Yunnan Province.This paper first analyzes the concepts,characteristics and classification system of the modern service industry in order to clarify the scope and focus of the research,then parses the employment theory basis of modern service industry from four aspects,and explores the mechanism of employment in modern service industry from both explicit and implicit sides.Thus in this way,we can form a rigorous theoretical framework for the employment effects of modern service industries.Then we study the current economic development and employment of modern service industries in Yunnan Province in various ways and compare the development level and employment level of modern service industries throughout the whole country.Thus,we can measure the degree of employment of modern service industry in Yunnan province,then find out the shortage.In this way,the employment effect of the modern service industry in Yunnan Province is explored in a targeted manner.Next,we use empirical evidence to analyze the employment elasticity index in order to obtain the current degree of employment absorption of various modern service industries in Yunnan Province,compare the structural segregation and predict the potential of each modern service industry to absorbemployment in the future.The variable coefficient fixed effect model is used to comprehensively analyze the factors that affect employment,to analyze the influence of different factors on employment in different industries,then to provide empirical support for the theoretical basis mentioned above.At last,this paper analyzes the purpose of the study,the existing problems of employment in the modern service industry in Yunnan province,and summarizes the effects of various factors affecting employment on various industries,and puts forward the relevant,feasible and comprehensive suggestions for accelerating employment in the modern service industry in Yunnan province.
