Historical Development And Symbolic Performance Of American Sports Spirit

The charm and strength of sports lies in its ability to integrate human body and the spiritual values.While demonstrating and enhancing people's natural strength,they can continue to shape personality,enhance people's spiritual realm and the spiritual value of sports itself.Influenced by cultural values,when cultural values infiltrate into sports,they will change their characteristics and spirits.The United States,as a recognized sports power in the world,has always been able to maintain its dominance in the Olympic movement,and is inseparable from American culture and its sportsmanship.The evolution of American sports thoughts is closely related to its cultural attributes.The organic integration of capitalist market and society is the key to the success of American sports.Therefore,this study uses the methods of scientific research such as literature and historical analysis to study the historical development and symbolic performance of American sportsmanship from the perspective of history and sociology.This study takes American baseball,American football and basketball as the starting point.According to the social development background of different historical periods in the United States,this study analyzes the sports spirits of the three periods of American agricultural society,industrial society and post-industrial society.The sports spirit of the historical period has its symbolic representations,namely baseball,American football and basketball,and summarizes the concrete manifestations of the sports spirit that it appears.Through the in-depth study of the historical development of American sportsmanship and the symbolic performance,the main conclusions are as follows: First,the relationship between American sportsmanship and symbols is complementary and mutually reinforcing.The sports spirits of different historical periods in the United States have different symbols.Performance,while different historical conditions promote the formation of different sportsmanship.Secondly,through the study of the symbolic performance of American agricultural society--the study of baseball,the historical background of agricultural society and the historical roots of baseball are studied from the perspective of time,space and tools.Therefore,the symbolic expression in the American agricultural society is inextricably linked with these three aspects.The sports spirit manifested in baseball is analyzed from the overall perspective: American baseball shows the spirit of freedom and individualism.In parallel with the spirit of hard work,individualism and teamwork,the spirit of racial integration and equality has gradually emerged.Based on the symbolic expression of American industrial society--American football,based on the economic impact of the American industrial revolution and the arrival of capitalism,the historical background of industrial society and the historical roots of American football are separated.Time control and spatial scope have been studied;by analyzing the spirit of capitalism and the sportsmanship of American football,it is concluded that American football shows a decolonization mentality and innovative spirit,and the spirit of competition stimulates confrontation and violence.Sexuality and humanism coexist with individualism.Through the study of the symbolic performance of the post-industrial society in the United States,the unilateral view of Bell,the proponent of the post-industrial society concept,is denied,and the characteristics of the post-industrial society are analyzed.State;the game between basketball and the post-industrial society of the United States gives the basic conditions and external catalytic conditions for the development of basketball in the process of development;through the macroscopic overall perspective,analyzes the sports spirit manifested in basketball: the team above individualism the spirit of cooperation and identity tend to promote the spirit of super-equality and the spirit of basketball that is evolving in the information age.Finally,through the study of the historical development and symbolic expression of American sportsmanship,it finally settles on the development of sports in China and the appeal of sports spiritual values,and summarizes the sportsmanship manifested by the symbolic performance of American sports in different historical periods.On the basis of this,we strive to provide reference for the future development of China's sports.We should recognize the differences between Chinese sports and American sports in terms of philosophy and spiritual level,which has a great relationship with social roots and cultural roots.We should take the essence,go to its dregs,refuse to blindly follow the successful experience of American sports,and should develop sports based on China's national conditions and the national sports system.First,from a macroscopic point of view,in the pursuit of the values of sportsmanship in China,and from the level of school education,the sportsmanship of young children has been cultivated and developed into professional athletes.Secondly,from a microscopic point of view,it is necessary to base on the actual national conditions of China,and to target ethnic traditional sports projects to the masses and campuses first,and to develop national traditional sports through the infiltration of national sports spirit.Thirdly,in view of the development trend of vigorously developing football in China in recent years,we should first strengthen the school's cultivation of students' physical quality and sportsmanship,and carry out refined development of China's children's football,and select excellent football players or introduce foreign excellent retired athletes to systematically train football talents among young children.
