From Resistance To Obedience:Patriotic Emotion Construction Of E-sports Gamers

This paper uses qualitative research methods of in-depth interviews,text analysis and participatory observation to investigate the popular e-sports games in recent years and the patriotic behavior of gamers themselves.Attempts to approach how Gamers' groups can live in the Internet space and far away from the perspective of cultural power from different angles.And political consciousness related to national identity has been developed in daily political practice and shape teenagers' patriotic synesthesia together with games.The author believes that under the dual influence of the "discourse shaping" of the mainstream authority and the "barbaric growth" of the competitive industry for a long time,the game players have formed the national identity characteristics of heroic role playing,subordinating to the state authority,reconcile with mainstream discourse and submit to the authority of the state as resistance in the unique meaning field of "game".It is the national identity of the game players alone,but in the same sense,it also represents the sub-cultural group shaped by the mainstream discourse and the sub-cultural community.
