This article has chosen the primary students academic formative assessment activities from A Primary School at Jiading District in Shanghai City as the research object,collect raw material,and organize the case of the primary students academic formative assessment in order to clarify the assessment system of the primary students academic formative assessment and its characteristics.Based on the Nvivo11 Plus qualitative analysis software,utilizing the visual coding system,this paper has obtained the analyzable data,has established the tree nodes and analyse the case,according to the four dimensions(primary students academic formative assessment standards,aims,content and methods).And the study analyses the case,in order to provide reference on the primary students academic achievement formative assessment.The main research methods taken by this research are document analysis approach,interview method and filed trip exploration method.First,collect,select and sort the source;then by virtue of the opportunity of internship and filed trip observation,observe the classroom and collect the interviewing raw material;next,approach the Nvivo11 Plus qualitative analysis software system,through importing raw materials,organize them,code the tree nodes and analyze them and forming the relationship;finally draw the lessons on the primary students academic achievement formative assessment.The introduction presents research background,the meaning and the design of this study,the core definitions of main concepts and the literature review.The presentation of the case,the analysis of the case and the illumination of the case are the core content of this research.Initially,based on the four aspects of primary students academic achievement formative assessment standards,aims,content and methods,the case of the primary students academic achievement formative assessment is shown.Additionally,built upon the analysis of the case,four characteristics of this caseon the primary students academic formative assessment have been revealed as below:the norms of primary students academic formative assessment are of standardization and school-based;the unequivocal and corrective aims of primary students academic formative assessment are to cultivate the developmental knowledge and skills of students,exploratory learning process and methods and generative attitude,affection and value theory;the content of primary students academic formative assessment includes the consecutive and detailed subject academic achievement and specially integrated activity curriculum and the methods of primary students academic formative assessment are diversified and modernized.Finally,the illumination of the case contains the following four aspects: first,this research provides other schools to use the experience of this case as reference,formulating both the human-based and the school-based standards which are compatible with the local and cultural features.Second,the unequivocal and corrective aims of primary students academic formative assessment are the guidelines of schools,effectively monitoring and evaluating the primary students academic achievement formative assessment.Third,the students-centered primary students academic achievement formative assessment is to develop the introspective ability,especially the generative,consecutive and pluralistic abilities of thinking,and the ability of self-discipline of primary students academic achievement.And the fourth,under the circumstance of symbiosis between the teachers and students,the modified and value-added function of formative assessment should be thoroughly brought into play.
