At present,education is receiving more and more attention from all countries in the world.All countries hope that education can improve social ills and promote national construction.In education,the importance of cultivating high-quality teachers is also recognized globally.In recent years,more and more scholars have paid more attention to the teacher's teacher---teacher educator group,which believes that this group has a great influence on the quality of teachers in the future.Only professional and mature teacher educators can cultivate excellent future teacher.The professional knowledge and ability that teacher educators should possess is extremely complex and needs to be specially trained to obtain.The study of teacher educators training courses is conducive to clarifying the professional knowledge base of teacher educators and promoting the professionalization and professional development of the group.The United States is one of the countries with more advanced development of teacher educators around the world.The country has a special association of teacher educators,and has a professional standard of teacher educators,which leads the development of teacher educators in the country to a certain extent.And the United States has a special teacher educator training program,which is relatively rare and leading in the world.The professional development of teacher educators in China is still in its infancy,and all aspects need to be further developed.In general,the study of the American Teacher Educator preparation Program can promote China's research on the professional development of teacher educators,and provide more information and models for its professional development.In addition to the introduction,this article has four chapters,which are the role and knowledge base of teacher educators--the background of American teacher educators--Teacher Educator Preparation Program in the University of Nevada LasVegas--American Teacher Educator Preparation Program's summary and experience.Among them,the first chapter is the basis for the research of teacher educators.Only by clarifying the role of teacher educators,can we determine the professional behavior and professionalism that teacher educators should possess,and the knowledge base plays a foundation and guiding role.Specific training courses need to be set up based on the knowledge base.The second chapter discusses the background of American teacher educator training program,and analyzes the deep-rooted reasons for the selection of teacher educator preparation project in American higher education institutions.The third chapter takes the teacher educator training project of a certain school in the United States as a case to explore the specific mode of training.The fourth chapter examines the case,analyzes its advantages and disadvantages,summarizes the lessons that can be learned,and provides reference information for the professional development of teacher educators in China.
