As a major component of China's real economy, manufacturing is the material basis for national security and people's happiness and well-being.It is also one of the main battlefields for China's economy to achieve innovation-driven,transformation and upgrading, and to achieve high-quality development. After decades of continuous development,China has become the center of world manufacturing and ranks among the great powers.Although China's manufacturing industry has approached or reached the world's leading level in some advantageous areas, compared with some developed countries,China's manufacturing industry is still large and not strong in terms of innovation capability and overall quality. In 2015,China proposed the "Made in China 2025" strategic plan to boost China's transformation from a manufacturing power to a manufacturing power. As the development status of the subdivision manufacturing industry at the meso level,it plays a very important role in the overall development of the manufacturing industry, and also affects the realization of the strategic goal of China's manufacturing power. In recent years, with the rapid development of various sub-divided manufacturing industries, the labor costs of various sub-construction industries have continued to increase year by year. Therefore,it is particularly urgent to explore the impact of rising labor costs on the competitiveness of different domestic manufacturing industries and how to improve the competitiveness of various sub-sectors in the context of rising labor costs. This study focuses on the theme of the impact of rising labor costs on the competitiveness of several domestic manufacturing industries.First,it briefly defines the related concepts of labor cost, manufacturing, and industrial competitiveness, and sorts out domestic and international labor costs and manufacturing industry competition.Relevant literature on the impact of labor evaluation and labor cost increase on manufacturing competitiveness, and review existing research to understand the current status and shortcomings of current research;then, draw on relevant theories such as efficiency wage theory and human capital theory The mechanism of the impact of rising labor costs on manufacturing competitiveness;then, based on the analysis of the mechanism of the impact of rising labor costs on manufacturing competitiveness, select relevant indicators to build a manufacturing industry competitiveness evaluation system, and the six subdivision manufacturing industries of printing and recording media reproduction, food manufacturing, electrical machinery and equipment manufacturing, textiles, pharmaceutical manufacturing, computer communications and other electronic equipment manufacturing, for the study, intercepted 2009-2016 Principal component The method obtains the comprehensive competitiveness of the manufacturing industry as well as the six sub-segment manufacturing industries, and introduces the elastic model, which analyzes the degree of influence of labor cost increase on the competitiveness of different sub-division manufacturing industries in the same year and the vertical analysis of labor cost increase. The degree of influence of the competitiveness of the manufacturing industry in different years. Finally,in the context of rising labor costs, some countermeasures and suggestions for improving the competitiveness of domestic manufacturing are proposed. The results show that: First, the rise in labor costs has a positive effect on the overall manufacturing industry and the competitiveness of the six subdivided manufacturing industries.Second, the overall growth of the manufacturing industry,as well as the growth rate of labor costs in the printing and recording media replication industry, electrical machinery and equipment manufacturing industry, computer communications and other electronic equipment manufacturing industries,is becoming less and less positive for their competitive growth rates. The positive effect of the growth rate of labor costs in the three manufacturing industries on the growth rate of their competitiveness is relatively stable.Third, the labor cost growth rate has different degrees of influence on the competitiveness growth rate of different sub-sector manufacturing industries. In general, the labor cost growth rate has the least positive effect on the competitiveness growth rate of the food manufacturing industry.Based on the above analysis,in the context of rising labor costs,we should rationally look at the rise of labor costs, change the development concept and methods, pay attention to the improvement of the quality of laborers, and adopt different countermeasures for different industries,so as to continuously improve the manufacturing industry.Competitiveness.
